iDevFactory Software Assurance is a software maintenance program that helps
organizations get the most of their software investment. Our software assurance
program offers customers an extended range of benefits that help maintain
operational efficiencies, manage costs and realize a faster return on their
software investment.
Terms and Benefits
The following outlines the terms and benefits of our software assurance program.
- Agreement Period
iDevFactory Software Assurance is for a period of one year and is renewed on
a annual basis.
- Extended Product Warranty
All iDevFactory products come with a standard 30 day product warranty from
the purchase date. iDevFactory Software Assurance extends the product
warranty to a period of 12 months and can be renewed annually to re extend
the warranty period.
- Product Updates and New
Releases
iDevFactory periodically releases minor product updates and patches to
resolve identified issues and to provide enhanced capabilities. In addition
to minor updates iDevFactory is continuously enhancing functionality,
addressing customer challenges, and improving product usability. iDevFactory
Software Assurance will provide your company with access to patches, updates
and all new major releases of the purchased products as soon as they are
released.
NOTE: Due to the new "feature based" architecture of USPM v2007 there is no direct
new major release of USPM 2003. In lieu of this change customers who purchase or have purchased USPM 2003 and
maintain a current software assurance agreement will be able to obtain a credit toward the
purchase of new USPM v2007 features.
- Technical Support
iDevFactory offers standard support during the initial installation and
configuration phases of the purchased products. iDevFactory Software
Assurance will provide your company with access to iDevFactory email help
desk and phone escalation support as necessary during the agreement period.
- Microsoft minor update
assistance
Microsoft periodically releases minor product updates and service packs for
their products. In rare instances these updates could impair iDevFactory
products. iDevFactory offers conditional 30 day support for minor Microsoft
updates that are affecting iDevFactory products. iDevFactory Software
Assurance will provide your company with extended conditional support during
the agreement period.
- Financial Savings and
Budgeting
iDevFactory Software Assurance is charged at 20% of the total product
purchase price. With the access to new releases and special offers to
Software Assurance customers our assurance program can provide significant
long term cost savings. Furthermore since iDevFactory Software Assurance
includes technical support, updates and new releases, planning your annual
budget is simple and straightforward.
- Costs
iDevFactory Software Assurance can be purchased with all products at an
annual cost of 20% of the total product purchase price.
