The SharePoint Environment (Farm) Reporting feature aggregates statistics from across your SharePoint environment and delivers
true environment sizing and statistical reports to help you understand your SharePoint Landscape.
Current SharePoint Challenge(s):
One of the biggest challenges facing SharePoint Administrators is truly understanding and effectively managing their
SharePoint environments. The dynamic nature of the SharePoint platform amplifies this by making it difficult to gain a clear
understanding of how the environment is evolving and growing. Some of the current challenges around SharePoint environment level reporting are:
- No environment (farm) reporting.
SharePoint does not provide environment reporting or views that aggregate
sizing and composition data making it difficult to understand your SharePoint landscape.

Environment Overview Report. Provides you with a synopisis of your environment properties including:
Farm Birth Date, Farm Age, Farm Size, Total Web Apps, Total Databases, Total Managed Paths,
Total Site Collections, Total Sites, Total Lists, Total Documents, Total List Items,
Total Alerts, Total Recycle Bin Items. |

Web Application Sizing Report. Provides aggregate counts and statistics for each SharePoint Web Application The statistics
shown are Total Databases, Total Managed Paths, Total Site Collections, Total Sites, Total Lists, Total Documents, Total List Items, and Total Alerts.

Database Sizing Report.
Provides statistics for each SharePoint Content Database. The statistics
shown are Total Database Count, Database Type, Current Site Collection Count, Max Site Collection Count, Site Collection Count Warning, Date Created, Actual DB Size, Remaining Size.

Total Site Counts Report.
Provides a bar graph report of the Total Site Counts based on incremental timelines starting from the present date,
30 days ago, 60 days ago. 90 days ago, 6 months ago, 1 year ago and 2+ years ago. |

New Site Counts Report. Provides a bar graph report of the New Site
Counts based on timeframes ranging from the last 30 days, 31-60 days, 61-90 days, 91-180 days, 6 months - 1 year, and 1+ years ago. |

Sites Composition Report. Provides a pie chart report of the composiiton
of sites within the environment based on the template types used when provisning the sites. |

|
Document Composition and Sizing Report. Provides a complete detailed report of the types of documents, counts and sizes of all documents within the environment. Documents are shown and orgniazed into status groups (Published, Working Drafts, Versions and Recylce Bin) |

Document Size Groupings Report. Provides a bar graph report of the counts of all documetns that are of a particular size. Graph also shows the various document status groups (Published, Working Drafts, Versions and Recylce Bin) as well. |
